« Artists never die. They live forever through their works, » as the saying goes. This is the case for the famous actress, Orgelle Kentsop, aka « Mamiton, » who was brutally taken from her life last year. The journey of the famously cantankerous mother-in-law will be immortalized in a documentary film entitled « The Death of a Star » directed by Willy Stéphane Noumo. This legacy is due in part to Yves Nangue Carson, a Cameroonian author, screenwriter, producer, and cultural entrepreneur based in the United States. According to the 45-year-old producer, the project is currently in post-production and will be released shortly.
In addition to the announcement of this film, the filmmaker recently unveiled his numerous projects in the fields of cinema and beauty. Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Yves Nangue Carson is the president of the International Miss Africa Committee and promoter of the production company « Blackstone Entertainment. » He has always been immersed in art. Much more than a family affair, cinema is also a therapy for him. « I wrote my first screenplay entitled « A Sunday of June 13th » in 1994 when I was a teenager. It was following an accident that cost my cousin his leg in Kinshasa. » After this first draft, other screenplays followed, including « Odyssey, » which dealt with the crossing of migrants to the European Eldorado. His most ambitious film project is the film « The Law of Destiny, » which he executive produces. A bold project whose cast includes Gérard Depardieu, Willy Zogo, Sharone Stone, Gary Daniels, Constance Ejuma, Alice Krige and Tatiana Matip, with filming planned for Buea, Douala and Yaoundé.
While waiting for the completion of this film, which has received the blessing of the Ministry of Arts and Culture, Yves Nangue Carson is working on other projects. Notably, the « Miss Africa United » beauty pageant, the first edition of which is scheduled for February 2026 in Atlanta, United States, » he confided.
